The last human
network.
Every other feed is becoming increasingly automated and anonymous. On Sapien, every user is verified as human, every post is captured live, and your network is entirely your own. No bots. No artificially generated content. No strangers.
Bots.
AI slop.
Strangers.
A more human internet starts with real people.
Open any feed today and the line between real and artificial can feel harder to see. Synthetic faces, recycled clips, promoted content, and machine-ranked recommendations have made the internet feel louder, faster, and less personal. The result is a strange kind of distance: more content than ever, but fewer moments that feel genuinely human.
Sapien is built in the other direction. Every member is a verified human, and posts begin from your live camera — not a pasted link, browser upload, or repost. Circles are intentionally smaller. Feeds move at a human pace. Moments can expire when they should. Conversations stay private. And the network only includes the people you choose to let in.
Real moments only.
Posts on Sapien come from your live camera, not a URL, browser upload, or repost. The feed is built around real moments captured by real people.
One human, one account.
Every account that posts on Sapien is identity-verified through Stripe Identity. One human, one account. No bots, impersonators, or disposable profiles.
Two circles. Your call.
Sapien is organized around Inner Circle and Outer Circle. You decide who sees what, with the default set to nobody until you choose otherwise.
Wire: shared thought.
Wire is Sapien's public, text-based space for shared thought. A place to see what verified people have to say, share what's on your mind, and engage in discussion.
Expire when you want.
Every post can be set to expire after a day, a week, or whenever you choose. When a post expires, it is removed from Sapien's active systems, including our servers.
Messages only you can read.
Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted using X3DH and the Double Ratchet protocol. Sapien cannot read them, and neither can anyone else.
Nobody posts without proving they exist.
Every account that wants to post on Sapien is verified through Stripe Identity: a government ID and a live selfie, checked against the document, against itself, and against everyone else who's already joined. The result is a network where every byline is a real person you could, in theory, find in the world.
- Stripe Identity for ID + liveness checks
- One human, one account — deduplicated at sign-up
- Browse without verifying; verify before you post
- Verification keeps your data with Stripe, not us
Real human on the byline.
Posts come from your live camera.
Sapien only accepts content from the in-app, live camera. Not a URL. Not a paste. Not an upload from somewhere else. If it didn't happen in Sapien, it doesn't go on Sapien. It's the only way to keep the feed honest in 2026.
Not from a URL.
Not from anywhere else.
Two circles. That's it.
Inner Circle is the people you'd call at 2am. Outer Circle is the people you'd grab a drink with. Inside your circles, every post can be set to expire — a day, a week, a moment — or kept around as long as you want. You decide.
Public thought. From the actual public.
Wire is Sapien's public, text-based space for open conversation. Share what you're thinking, see what verified people are saying, and take part in discussion under your real name.
Every post is public, threaded, and attached to a verified human. No anonymous accounts. Just a clearer place for real people to speak, respond, and be heard.
- A public forum built around real identity
- Threaded replies from other verified humans
- Posts stay live unless you delete them
everyone is a real person
under their real name.
Messages only you can read.
Direct messages on Sapien are end-to-end encrypted with the Signal Protocol's X3DH key agreement and Double Ratchet algorithm. Every message is sealed before it leaves your phone and opened only on the recipient's. We can't read them. Our servers can't read them. Subpoenas reach the same wall.
- X3DH key agreement
- Double Ratchet forward-secrecy
- Per-device key bundles, no key escrow
Opened on theirs.
Nobody in the middle.
